Rosamond V. Brooks

Rosamond V. (Henry) Brooks, age 97, passed away at her home after a long illness on Monday October 5, 2009. Mrs. Brooks was the wife of the late Roland V. Brooks. She is survived by her 3 sons, Bruce Brooks of Bellevue, NE, Philip Brooks of S. Weymouth and Peter Brooks of Rockland, 3 grandchildren, Brian, Caryn and Michael Brooks and 1 great granddaughter, Gracie. Rosamond was born in Fall River and lived in S. Weymouth since 1950. She graduated from Durfee High School in Fall River in 1929 and Framingham State College in 1933. Mrs. Brooks was a Home Economics teacher in Chatham, Randolph, Braintree and Weymouth. She also was a volunteer at the South Shore Hospital Thrift Shop and a past member of the Massachusetts Teacher’s Association. Visiting will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq. ) S. Weymouth on Friday October 9 from 1 to 2 P.M. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 2 P.M.
