William A. Mackintosh, age 91, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Tuesday September 22, 2009. Bill was the husband of the late Grace (McCarthy) Mackintosh and the late Teresa (Hevrin) Mackintosh. Mr. Mackintosh is survived by his daughter Jane Lasdow and her husband Daniel of South Weymouth, his granddaughter Kate Lasdow of South Weymouth, his brother Richard Mackintosh, his nephews James Mackintosh and Gary Mackintosh all of Vernon, CT, his step-children, Kathy Schwanfelder of Guilford, CT, Elizabeth Robison of Branford, CT, Sam Dendas of Branford, CT and Tracy Creelin of Wallingford, VT and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. William was born in Hartford, CT and spent most of his life in Branford, CT while wintering in Clearwater FL for 15 years before moving to South Weymouth 1 ½ years ago. He was a Regional Sales Manager for 35 years for the Canadian Pacific Railroad, Soo Line Railroad, the Lehigh and Hudson River Railroad and Conrail, retiring in 1981. Bill was a member of the Lions Club of Branford, CT, the Elks Club of Westbrook, CT, Toastmasters International of Branford, CT and Owenego Beach Club of Branford, CT. Mr. Mackintosh served his Country in the Coast Guard during World War II and the Army During Korea. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 261 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth on Saturday, September 26 at 11 A.M.
