Alfred P. Lake, age 79, passed away at the Quincy City Hospital on Wednesday July 22, 2009. Mr. Lake was born in Boston and lived in Braintree for 20 years prior to moving to South Weymouth where he lived for the last 30 years. Alfred is survived by his wife, Leonia M. Conrad-Lake, his 2 sons Paul J. Lake and his wife Cheryl of Waltham and Peter J. Lake and his wife Gail of Duxbury; and his 2 step-sons Donald G. Conrad and his wife Mary of Plymouth and Douglas G. Conrad of Maine. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his 2 brothers, Edward Leikauskas and Peter Leikauskas. He was a business manager and salesman for various Graphics Arts Companies in the Boston area for 46 years including Roberts and Porter of South Boston and most recently H.A. Metzger of New Jersey. Mr. Lake served his country in the Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Alfred was a Red Sox Fan and enjoyed golf and traveling especially to Aruba but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Friday July 24 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 25 at 9 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
