Nancy Swanson

Nancy Swanson formally of Weymouth and Rockland, passed away on July 2, 2009 at the Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown, SC. Mrs. Swanson was born in Quincy, MA on November 6, 1929 to the late James and Doris (Beaverstock) Burke. On August 21, 1949, she married Alfred Swanson who died on June 5, 1999. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Shackford and her husband William, of Wilmington, NC, a granddaughter, Glowyn Waterhouse and her husband Campbell and a great grandson Atticus Waterhouse all of Duxbury, nieces and nephews as well as her extended South Carolina family, Jim and Sue McPhail, Casey, Beth and Parker Woodward and Jeff Topping. In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah, a son, Craig and her sister Jean. There will be no local services. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made in Ms. Swanson’s name to the Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC, 29440.
