Esther M. Whittles

Esther M. (Allen) Whittles of Weymouth and Abington passed away on June 29, 2009 in her 100th year. Wife of the late Warren B. Whittles. Loving mother of Judith A. Pearce of Weymouth and Shirley E. Morrison and her husband Stephen W. Morrison of Halifax. Mother in law of Frances Whittles of CT and Jane Whittles of Kingston. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Robert Allen Whittles. Esther was born in Fall River, graduated from Durfee High School in Fall River and a Nursing School in Fall River. She worked as a Private Nurse. Esther was a member of the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church for 65 years and a 45 year member of the Church Choir. The Funeral Service will be at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Friday July 3 at 11 A.M. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in the Assonet Cemetery. Donations may be made in Esther’s memory to the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth, MA 02190-1611.
