Rachel (Hayden) Petersen

Rachel Petersen, age 82, passed away at her daughter’s house in Fitzwilliam, NH on April 23, 2009. Mrs. Petersen was the wife of the late Egon “Ken” Petersen. She is survived by her 2 sons Robert Petersen of Westborough and Donald Petersen of Gorham, ME, her 3 daughters, Carol Petersen of Rockland, Cathy Poston of Fitzwilliam, NH, and Cheryl Dolson of Rockland. Rachel is the grandmother of Mark and John Petersen of Westborough, Amy (Conefrey) Drouet of Metairie, LA, Jennifer (Conefrey) Truong of Rindge, NH, Ken Petersen of Rockland, Nicole (Petersen) Lavoie of Middleboro, Christopher Mallette of Gorham, ME, Charles, David and Rachel Poston of Fitzwilliam, NH, and the great grandmother of Dylan and Logan Drouet of Metairie, LA, Kaylee Truong of Rindge, NH and Zachary Lavoie of Middleboro. Mrs. Petersen was born and grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1944. She has lived in Rockland since 1982. Rachel was an assembler for Electro Signal Lab in Rockland and Mentor in Norwell. A Memorial Service will be held at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 916 Main St, Hingham on Saturday May 9 at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rachel’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226 or the Advent Lutheran Church, 554 Route 202, Rindge, NH 03461.
