Kathleen "Sis" Mathewson Dillon

Kathleen Dillon a lifelong resident of Weymouth passed away peacefully at Colonial Nursing Home on February 25, 2009 at the age of 91. Beloved mother of Marcia Stoddard and her husband Frank of Weymouth, Charlotte Currie and her husband Peter of Quincy, Andrea Dillon of Pembroke and dear friend Bert Carew. Daughter of the late Wilfred B. and Catherine (Hawes) Mathewson. Devoted grandmother of Catherine Johns, Sarah Wenstrom, Jeannette Currie, Bradford Currie, Andrew Currie, John Crooks and Russell Crooks. She is also survived by seven great granddaughters. Sis enjoyed writing, Bible study, painting, cooking Saturday night dinners for her family and watching the Boston Red Sox. She was a member of the Bradford Hawes Family of Weymouth, Fairbanks Family in America and the Bow Ties of Weymouth. Visiting hours are being held at CC Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square) South Weymouth on Friday, February 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral will be at the First Church in Weymouth, 17 Church Street, Weymouth Heights on Saturday, February 28th at 11 AM. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope cemetery in Weymouth.
