James Burke

James F. Burke passed away at the Braintree Manor Nursing Home on February 24, 2008 at the age of 81. He was the father of Sandy Robb and her husband Norman of Chesapeake, VA, Fran Irving and her husband Leighton of Braintree and the late Steven Burke. Jim was the grandfather of Michael Irving, Kevin Irving, Jodie Irving McLaughlin, Katie Irving, David Robb, Karen Robb, Danielle Reidy, Steven Burke Jr. and the late Brian Robb. Mr. Burke has 1 great grandson, Josh Reidy. He also leaves 1 brother, Robert Burke of Contoocook, NH. James was born in Barnstable, grew up in Weymouth, joined the Navy during World War 2 after he was discharged he moved to Braintree before living in Hanson. Jim was a Truck Mechanic for John J. Duane Company in Quincy. He was a member of the Hanson VFW post and the Hanson American Legion. Funeral services will be private.
