Olive B. Mason

Olive B. (Holbrook) Mason a life long resident of Weymouth passed away at the Weymouth Health Care Center on February 19, 2009 at the age of 90. Mrs. Mason was the wife of the late Otto C. Mason. Olive is survived by her 3 sons, Jeffrey A. Mason and his wife Jane of Gorham, ME, Robert A. Mason and his wife Dawn of Billerica, MA and Charles H. Mason and his wife Ineke of Orange Park, FL, 3 grandsons, Peter, Duane and Kenneth Mason, 1 granddaughter, Julie Chandler and her husband Darryl, 1 great grandson Zachary and 1 great granddaughter Rylie Lynn. She was a clerk at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston for 9 years before retiring in 1977. Olive was a long time member of the Holy Nativity Church where she had been Sunday School Teacher and involved in the Altar Guild and the Women’s Guild. Friends and relatives are invited to the visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday from 3to7 P.M. and the Funeral at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Tuesday February 24 at 11 A.M. Interment will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Olive’s memory to the Meals on Wheels, South Shore Elder Services, 159 Bay State Dr. Braintree, MA 02184.
