Edna L. McKinney

Edna (Leonard) McKinney age 80, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on January 4, 2009. Mrs. McKinney is survived by her children, William R. McKinney, Jr. of Quincy, Edward F. McKinney of Avon, Janice E. Conlin of Weymouth, Joanne McKinney of Brockton, Richard J. McKinney of Abington and Ellen J. Goldbloom of Sammamish, WA, 1 sister Marion Holland of Agawam, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is the former wife of William R. McKinney, Sr. Edna is predeceased by her brother Charles Leonard. Mrs. McKinney was born in East Rockaway, NY and was a long time resident of Weymouth before moving to Brockton 30 years ago. She worked in the publishing industry in the Weymouth News, S. J. News and South Shore Publishing Co. before ending her career as an Office Manager With Urban and Associates, retiring in 1994. Edna was an avid Red Sox fan and an avid professional Tennis fan. Friends and relatives are invited to the Prayer Service at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), S. Weymouth on Thursday January 8 at 10 A.M. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
