Lois (van Gestel) Crook

Lois Crook passed away at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital on Monday August 11 at the age of 70. Mrs. Crook was the wife of the late David R. Crook. She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert A. Crook and his wife Lauren of Braintree and Richard B. Crook of Braintree; 2 grandchildren, Caroline Crook and Cameron Crook both of Braintree and 1 brother, Allan van Gestel of Rockport, MA. Lois was born in Boston, grew up in Milton lived in South Weymouth for 43 years before moving to Braintree 4 years ago. She graduated from Milton High School in 1955 and received a Bachelors degree at the University of New Hampshire in 1959, where she belonged to the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Friends and relatives are invited to the visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday 4 to 8 P.M. and the funeral service at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Saturday August 16 at 9 A.M.
