Marjorie A. DeChambeau passed away at the Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury on July 23 at the age of 79. Mrs. DeChambeau is the loving wife of the late W. Luke DeChambeau. She is survived by 3 children, Deborah Crompton of Halifax, David DeChambeau of Gardner and Marilyn Gallo of Agawam; 2 grandchildren, Kenneth Crompton of Brockton and Janeen Crompton Silveira of Halifax; 2 great grandchildren, Hope Ann Crompton of Brockton and Olivia Grace Silveira of Halifax, 1 sister, Priscilla Cavic of South Hampton, MA and 1 brother, Robert Benson of Milton. Marjorie is predeceased by her twin sister Marilyn A. Furtado and her sister Carolyn Thompson. Mrs. DeChambeau was born in Halifax, grew up in East Bridgewater and graduated from East Bridgewater High School in 1946. She has lived in Kingston for the last 18 years. She attended Silver Lake Regional High School Adult Education and took courses in business, knitting and sewing and loved doing bread doe art. A graveside service will be held at the Central Cemetery on Hemlock Lane in Halifax on Saturday August 2 at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
