Harold P. Roos passed away at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham on May 11, 2008 at the age of 88. He was the loving husband of the late Alice Roos. He is survived by three daughters Dianne Nowell of Stoneham, Donna Schiller of Weymouth, and Judy Russi of Revere. He leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barbara and Bob Haveron of Weymouth and his niece Nancy Thomas of Weymouth.
Mr. Roos was born and grew up in Wakefield. He lived most of his adult life in Everett. Harold was a sergeant in the Air Force, serving as an airplane instrument mechanic in the South Pacific during World War II. He was employed by Everett Taxi until his retirement. Harold was an avid hunter and an accomplished marksman with the rifle and bow and arrow. He was also a licensed pilot. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square) S. Weymouth on Thursday, May 15 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. followed immediately by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
