Florence Connors

Florence Connors, a life long resident of Weymouth passed away at the Weymouth Health Care Center on Monday April 28, 2008. Mrs. Connors is the gold star wife of the late Matthew J. Connors. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Robie and her husband Brent of Malden, and a grandson Benjamin Connors of Arlington. Florence is predeceased by her sister, Madelyn Niemi of Weymouth. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Irene (Liley) Condrick. Mrs. Connors was a 5th and 6th grade school teacher at the Nevin School in S. Weymouth for 37 years retiring in 1980. Florence was a member of the Holy Nativity Church Women’s Guild in S. Weymouth, a past member of the former Wessagussett Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Weymouth now the Pilgrim Chapter and a past member of the Massachusetts Teacher’s Association. Relatives and friends at invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Thursday May 1 at 10 A.M. and the visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. An Eastern Star Service will be held on Wednesday at 7 P.M. with the Pilgrim Chapter of Eastern Star. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in S. Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Florence’s memory to the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S.
