Luke DeChambeau passed away at the Jordon Hospital in Plymouth on Saturday March 29 at the age of 80. Mr. DeChambeau is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marjorie (Benson) DeChambeau, his 3 children, Deborah Crompton of Halifax, David DeChambeau of Gardner and Marilyn Gallo of Agawam; 2 grandchildren, Kenneth Crompton of Brockton and Janeen Crompton Silveira of Halifax, and 2 great grandchildren Hope Ann Crompton of Brockton and Olivia Grace Silveira of Halifax. Luke also leaves 1 brother, Ronald DeChambeau of East Bridgewater. He was born in Brockton, grew up in East Bridgewater and graduated from East Bridgewater High School in 1945. Luke served as a ship fitter in the Navy during World War II. Mr. DeChambeau lived in Kingston for the last 18 years. Luke was a Lineman for Brockton Edison Company for 41 years and knew the names of every street and its pole number in 7 towns before his retirement in 1989. He loved salt water fishing and horse back riding. Funeral services are private. Arrangements made with the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth.
