Elda W. (Lowther) Bell

Elda W. Bell passed away at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston on Monday April 1 at the age of 92. She was the loving husband of the late Stanley G. Bell. Elda is survived by her devoted children, Colin S. Bell and his wife Nancy of Newburyport and Pamela (Bell) Shea and her husband Walter of Kingston. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, Meghan Shea of S. Boston, Kristin Bell of Marshfield and Kimberly Bell of Dover, NH and 1 sister, Doris Sweitzer of Ontario, Canada. Elda was born and grew up in Truro, Nova Scotia, graduated from Acadia University in Canada in 1936 and taught grammar school in Truro. She moved to Chicago with her husband in 1953 and then moved to South Weymouth in 1957. Elda lived in Abington from 1992 to 2005 before moving to Kingston in 2005. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral at the Old South Union Congregational Chapel, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Saturday April 5 at 12:30 P.M. and the visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday from 4to8 P.M. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Weymouth.
