Marie R. Connolly

Marie R. Connolly passed away at the Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth on Sunday March 16, 2008 at the age of 78. Marie was the devoted husband of the late James M. Connolly and the loving mother of Michael Connolly of S. Weymouth, John Connolly of Whitman, James Connolly of Natick, Timothy Connolly of Marshfield, Paul Connolly of Bourne and William Connolly of Norwell. She was the sister of Frances Savage of Plymouth, the late John Zakrewski, Helen Sweeney and Geraldine Slattery. Mrs. Connolly is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Marie was born in Boston, grew up in Dorchester and has lived in Weymouth since 1971. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Mother’s Club in Dorchester and was very involved with her children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday March 19 at 9 A.M. the Funeral Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 261 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 10 A.M. and the visiting hours on Tuesday 4 to 8 P.M. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
