George F. Cousineau of East Weymouth died at the Goddard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Stoughton on February 1 at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving wife Nadine (Leavitt) Cousineau. George also leaves 5 children; Karen Cross and her husband Michael of Taunton, Stephanie Horgan of Middleboro, Mark Cousineau and his wife Florence of Hanson, Joel Cousineau of E. Weymouth and Donna Cousineau of E. Weymouth and 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is the brother of the late Paul Cousineau. Mr. Cousineau was born in Greenfield, MA and has lived in E. Weymouth for the last 32 years and went to Quincy Junior College to study computers. George was a shoemaker at the Green Shoe Company later the Stride Rite Shoe Company in Boston for 26 years and retired in 1978. He served his country by serving in the Army National Guard for 8 years. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday February 7 from 6 to 8 P.M. and a Memorial Service at the South Shore Baptist Church 578 Main St. Hingham on Friday at 11 A.M.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062. www.kidneyhealth.org.
