James M. Davin Jr.

James M. Davin Jr. of South Weymouth passed away at the Weymouth Health Care Center on Sunday December 23 at the age of 89. Mr. Davin is the loving husband for 58 years of Jennie (Hutchins) Davin. Jim is the devoted father of 7 children, Judith A. Canty of S. Easton, Joyce C. Martino of S. Weymouth, Janine M. Davin-Sweeney of Scituate, Jayne L. St. Croix of Halifax, John E. Davin of Plymouth, Jean L. Davin of Canton and 1 late son James M. Davin III of Livermore, CA. Mr. Davin also has a sister, Margaret Michalek of Agawam, 17 grandchildren, 1 late granddaughter, Jennifer St. Croix,1 great granddaughter, Ashley Parker and many nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Boston, grew up in Dorchester and has lived in S. Weymouth since 1958. He was a proof reader for Eagle Graphics of Boston for 30 years before retiring in 2002. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the Funeral at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday December 29 at 9 A.M. and the Funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St. Weymouth at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be Friday 4to8 P.M.
