Robert Cruickshanks Jr. of South Weymouth died at the South Shore Hospital on Tuesday, December 18 at the age of 84. Mr. Cruickshanks is the husband for 60 years of Marjorie A. (Prentiss) Cruickshanks. Robert has 10 children; Robert Cruickshanks III of S. Weymouth, Alice Cruickshanks of West Stockbridge, Maryann MeoMartino of Uxbridge, Nancy Cruickshanks of S. Weymouth, Judith Cruickshanks of S. Weymouth, Marjorie Cruickshanks of S. Weymouth, Barbara Cruickshanks of Hampton, NH, Neil Cruickshanks of Norton, Jane Murphy of Whitman and Joanne Hiltz of Whitman, 2 sisters, Jean Fyfe and Mary Cruickshanks both of S. Weymouth. He also leaves 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Bob was born and grew up in Milton before moving to Weymouth in 1954. Mr. Cruickshanks was a salesman for many years most recently selling automobiles at Auto Haus in Cohasset. He retired in 1989. Bob was a Second Lieutenant in the Army during World War 2 and Korea and was a life member of the Masonic Lodge in Milton. Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday December 22 from 2 to 6 P.M. The Funeral Service will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02114.
