Alberta B. Blanchard

Alberta B. (Nutting) Blanchard a life long resident of Weymouth before moving to her daughter’s house in Middleboro due to a long illness passed away at the Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro on Tuesday December 18 at the age of 98. Mrs. Blanchard is the wife of the late Harold Blanchard Sr. She is survived by 2 sons, Harold A. Blanchard of Holbrook and Robert J. Blanchard of E. Weymouth, 1 daughter, Judith A. Willis of Middleboro. Alberta is the grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 1 late grandson, Brian and 14 great grandchildren. She is the daughter of the late John H. and Nellie B.(Bent) Nutting and the sister of the late George H. Nutting Sr. Alberta loved her family, gardening and quilting. Alberta graduated from Weymouth High School in 1927. She is a past member of Porter Methodist Church in Weymouth, a member of the United Methodist Church in Weymouth and a 50 year member of the Mayflower chapter of Eastern Star in Weymouth. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. The Funeral Service will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alberta’s memory to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, 8085 Saltsburg Rd.
