Dolores E. Nourse a former resident of Weymouth for 44 years before moving to Marco Island in 1994 passed away on November 24 at her son’s home in Andover at the age of 78. Delores is the beloved wife of the late John C. Nourse Sr. and the loving mother of John C. Nourse Jr. of Andover, Paul Nourse of Martha’s Vineyard and Jeffrey Nourse of Scituate. She also leaves 2 grandchildren, Andrew Nourse of Martha’s Vineyard and Framingham and Sarah Nourse of Andover. Mrs. Nourse was born and grew up in Quincy and was the last person to get a double promotion in Quincy High School graduating in 1945. Delores is a member of the League of Women Voters and was a past Massachusetts delegate to the Democratic National Convention in New York. She was an active member of the Weymouth Democratic Town Committee and was appointed by the Weymouth Board of Selectman to be the founding Chairman of the Weymouth Arts Council. Mrs. Nourse was a wedding photographer for Nourse Studios in Canton for 10 years before retiring in 1975. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday November 29 at 11 A.M. and the Visiting Hours on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
