George M. Foster a resident of Leisurewoods in Rockland for the last 3 years passed away at South Shore Hospital on November 22 at the age of 74. George is survived by his loving wife for 53 years, Elizabeth (Billings) Foster, 4 children, Steven Foster of Weymouth, Joanne Foster of Fall River, Lisa Foster of Carver and Susan McDermott of Saylorsburg, PA. He was the brother of Presley Foster of Derry, NH, Richard Foster of Plymouth and the late Grace Johnston and also has 10 grandchildren. Mr. Foster was born in Hanson and lived in Weymouth until moving to Rockland. George graduated from Weymouth High School in 1950 and worked as a Plasterer for Union Local 52 now Local 3 for 45 years. He was a member of the Weymouth Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 1120, loved to cook, bake, hunt and fish and loved working in his vegetable garden. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday November 26 at 10 A.M. and Visiting Hours on Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M. Mr. Foster will be interred in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
