Marguerite (Lincoln) Stowers a resident of Weymouth since 1964 died at her home on November 17 at the age of 90. Mrs. Stowers was the wife of the late Henry S. Stowers, the mother of Challen Hammer and her husband Mark of West Sand Lake, NY, Leslie V. Ouellette and her husband Roy of Portland, ME and the late Anne Stowers and the grandmother of Nathaniel Robertson Hammer, Morgan Stowers Hammer, Alison Courtney Ouellette, Virginia Anne Ouellette, Chelsea Marie Ouellette and Rebecca Lynne Ouellette. She was the Sister of Ida Atterbury of San Diego, CA, Elizabeth Page of Nobleboro, ME, Priscilla Wheatly of Marion, MA, Frank Burnham Lincoln Jr. of Norwalk, CT. Marguerite was born in Eastham, MA and lived on the coast throughout the country from Eastham, MA to Oakland, CA due to her father being in the Coast Guard. She graduated from Oakland High School in California. Mrs. Stowers graduated first in her class at Peabody School for Girls Nursing Program and became a Learned Practical Nurse for several Weymouth Nursing Homes retiring from Pope Nursing Home. She was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed birding, music and traveling. Marguerite loved gardening, her specialty was Day Lilies. A Memorial Service will be held at the Old South Union Church, 25 Columbian St. South Weymouth at a latter date. Donations may be made in Marguerite’s memory to the Old South Union Church Henry S.
