Wayne Douglas Anderson died October 15. He was the devoted father of Christopher and Sarah Anderson both of Rockland and the loving son of Ruth (Gillis) Anderson of South Weymouth and the late Cyril Anderson. Mr. Anderson is also survived by 3 Brothers, Kenneth Anderson and his wife Lucia of Weymouth, Brian Anderson and his wife Barbara of Weymouth and Michael Anderson of Weymouth a Sister Nancy Burke and her husband Gregory of Quincy and 5 nieces and 5 nephews. Wayne was born and grew up in South Weymouth, graduated from Weymouth South High School in 1974 and was a graduate of Bridgewater State College. He also resided in Rockland and Manomet before moving back to Weymouth 3 years ago. He worked for the R.S. Means Company in Kingston for 15 years beginning as a proof reader and later becoming a production coordinator. Mr. Anderson was a great basketball player, played handball at the Plymouth Athletic Club and was a life long Red Sox Fan. He was an avid Motown music fan and loved James Taylor, Van Morrison, Aretha Franklin and Steely Dan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Services at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Monday, October 22 at 11 A.M. and the visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Sunday4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in South Weymouth. Donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
