Waldo Wayne Bainter, October 2, 2007. Died at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton at the age of 73. He was the devoted husband for 52 years of Helen Louise (Driscoll) Bainter. Beloved father of Suzanne Marks of Whitman, Mary Diamond of S. Weymouth, Brenda Bellofatto of Braintree, Wayne Bainter of East Bridgewater and Jamie Bainter of S. Weymouth. Brother of Leonard Bainter of Washington. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday October 5 at 11:30 A.M. and the Funeral Mass at the St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St. Weymouth at 12:30 P.M. Visiting Hours Thursday 4 to 8 P.M. Interment is in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Mr. Bainter was born and grew up in Bellingham, Washington, Joined the Navy at the age of 17 and was a Radioman in the Korean War where he served on the USS Waxbill and the USS Miller. Waldo resided in S. Weymouth for the last 35 years and was a Machine Operator for many local Construction Companies for 30 years and retired in 1996. He was a member of the George R. Bean American legion Post 75 of S. Weymouth, the D.A.V., the National Uniformed Service and the National Retired Fleet Reserve. Donations may be made in Waldo’s memory to the Charity of your choice.
