Barbara Berry

Barbara J. Berry of Weymouth passed away peacefully on July 7, 2022, at the age of 90. Barbara was born, raised and educated in Derby Connecticut before moving to St. Petersburg Florida graduating with the St. Petersburg High School class of 1949. Barbara moved back to Derby and met her husband Donn and the two wed in 1955 and moved to Weymouth in 1966 where they have lived since.

Barbara was a very intelligent, artistic, and creative person. She loved crafts such as knitting, sewing, making wreaths out of pinecones and any other crafty projects. Barbara adored all animals and had a special connection with birds. She would raise, breed, and sell birds and was extremely talented in what she did. Barbara was a sweet woman but would not hesitate to correct you when you were wrong regardless of who you were. Above all else Barbara was a family-oriented woman and cherished her family and all the time she spent with them.

Barbara was the beloved wife of 65 years to Donn Berry of Weymouth. She was the devoted mother of Billy Berry of Pembroke, Shawn Berry of Middleboro and Karen of N. Andover and their children Aaron and Emily, Jim Berry and his wife Karen of Weymouth, their children Jordan and Rachel, Timmy Berry and his wife Dorrie of Weymouth, their children DJ and Michael, the late Kevin Berry, and his son Johnny. Her loving brothers, Charles Bearce of St. Petersburg, Fl, Bob of St. Petersburg, Fl, her Cousin and best friend growing up Glenn Schmidt .

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Barbara on Sunday July 17, 2022, at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. Weymouth from 2-4 in the afternoon. A funeral service will take place in the Funeral home Monday July 18, 2022, at 10:30AM. Burial will follow.
