Gail A. Gunville of Weymouth passed away on July 8, 2022. She was born in Weymouth and was the daughter of Otis & Mary Lovett. Gail was the beloved wife of William Gunville, and was the mother of William Gunville Jr., Beth and her husband Tom Jacobs and Amy Gunville all of Weymouth. She was the grandmother of Barrett Jacobs and his wife Mackenzie of Weymouth and Dolan Jacobs and his friend Chelsea Aaron of Abington. She was the great grandmother of Jack and Maggie Jacobs.

Gail was a graduate of Weymouth High School and the Chamberlin School of retailing. She was a Team Leader with the Pitney Bowes Management Services at the Law Firm of Hale & Dorr in Boston. Later she was a receptionist at Harbor Medical in Weymouth. Our Family wishes to thank Dr. Mark Anderson at the Dana Farber Cancer Center in Weymouth, Dr. Alisa Freed at South Shore Medical and Dr. Clifford Breslow, Director of Palliative Care at South Shore Hospital for the wonderful care that she received. After her retirement she spent her time volunteering at South Shore Hospital and at Immaculate Conception Church.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Gail at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) on Monday July 11, 2022, from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, East Weymouth on Tuesday July 12, 2022, at 10:30am. Please proceed directly to church. Interment will be at a later date in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Hingham, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Catholic TV Network, PO Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471 or The Dana Farber Cancer Center, 101 Columbian St. South Weymouth, MA 02190
