Mary Breck

d. June 15, 2022

Mary Young Breck passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022 at the age of 72. Mary was born in Boston and started her life and early childhood in Medfield, MA along with her little brother David. In 1957 the family moved to Andover, MA where Mary attended Elementary School and Junior High School in special education. Mary transferred to a Vermont school where she continued her education and learned farming. Summers from day one through the late 60's were spent on Eastern Point, East Gloucester, MA. The Cottage was only 200 yards from the Lighthouse. She loved our time at the Point. In 1969 the family then moved to Duxbury, MA, a short time later Mary working for a dry cleaning company in Plymouth. Mary lived on the South Shore for a number of years before finally settling in Holbrook under the care of the South Shore Support Services in a home in Holbrook where she resided for the remainder of her years.

Mary was a fun loving and compassionate person. She loved shopping for hats, jewelry and particularly leopard printed clothing! She loved dressing up in her new clothes and going out to socialize. Mary loved Jesus and attended Church every Sunday as she was able. She especially loved her outings with Stacy (her caregiver and good friend) and the daily life she shared with her house mates Joan and Carole who lived like sisters with a great love for each other was so special her.
On one of Mary's excursions to Foxwoods, Stacy had Mary in the front row while attending a Donnie Osmond concert who saw Mary loving it.. Donnie O left the stage, went down and gave her a kiss.

Mary would never be found too far from her Dunkin Donuts coffee or chocolate candies. Her true passion was especially western films. She loved them so much that she would write her own western stories for fun. Above all else Mary loved her family and cherished every moment she got to spend with them.

Mary was the loving sister to David Breck and his wife Dianne of Middleboro. She was the aunt of Andrea Lantz and her husband Tom of Plymouth, Richard W. Breck III of Fall River, and had many great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary also leaves behind her faithful South Shore Support Services family whom she loved.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation for Mary on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4-6 in the evening at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home in Weymouth.
