Susan Clawson

Susan Mary Clawson, age 59, of Braintree lost her courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 3, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Susan was raised and educated in Weymouth and graduated Weymouth South High School in 1981.

Susan attended Bentley College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked at Braintree Cooperative Bank for many years, and recently worked at Massachusetts Credit Union Share Insurance Corporation.

Susan was a passionate advocate for the Relay For Life of Braintree for over 15 years and often got “highest money raiser” year after year. She learned from her godmother, aunt, and friend Evelyn Young that her most important role in life was to be a supporting and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Susan is the daughter of the late Mary (Young) and John Clawson, and predeceased by cousin Billy Clawson. She is survived by her devoted and loving partner, Robert LaRosa of Braintree, her loving siblings John Clawson and his wife Karen of Buzzards Bay, Christina Haas and her husband Joel of Hanson, and her in-laws Patricia Nash and husband Greg of Hingham and Michael LaRosa of Memphis, TN, and many dear friends including her lifelong friend Kathy Molisse Wilson of Manchester-by-the-Sea. Susan was a devoted aunt to Andrea Slowey and husband Tommy, Steven Clawson, Erica, Matthew, and Angela Haas, and Michael, Katherine, and Robert Nash. She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Mass in honor of Susan’s life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:30am in the Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth-Braintree Landing.
