Lorraine Lyons

Lorraine M. Lyons (Lynch), age 89, of Weymouth passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2022. Lorraine was raised in S. Boston and Dorchester and graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in 1950. She married her beloved husband, Jack, in 1955 after he returned from military service in the Korean War. They started a family together in Dorchester prior to settling in Weymouth in 1969 where they have resided since.

Lorraine worked at Jordan Marsh in cosmetics and men’s clothing for many years. In retirement she enjoyed many trips to Cape Cod with her friends, word puzzles, and was an avid reader. Lorraine loved that she was able to go to Ireland for her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Lyons, their son Kevin Lyons and her brother Robert Lynch. She is survived by her loving children Jacqueline Perriello and her husband Michael of Weymouth; and Michael Lyons and his wife Donna Doucette of Wakefield, her grandchildren Jacob, Daniel, Samuel, Emily, and Owen, and her great-grandson Noah. She is also the sister of Margaret Lynch and her husband Charles Dunlap, and sister-in-law of Theresa Lynch.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Lorraine on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30am Wednesday morning for a Celebration of Life prior to the funeral mass which will begin at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Church in E.
