Joan O'Sullivan

Joan Marie O’Sullivan (Cusick), of Hingham (formerly Needham), passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022, at the age of 85.  Joan was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. She graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton in 1954. 

Joan was predeceased by her loving husband John O’Sullivan, her daughter Nancy Tynan and her sister Ann Black.  She is survived by her brother Paul Cusick (Rockland, MA) and sisters Margo DeRosa (Salem, NH) and Janet Gordon (Quincy, MA).  Joan is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joan valued her many friendships she made during her stay at Linden Ponds in Hingham. The family would like to thank the staff of Linden Ponds and the Norwell VNA and Hospice for the compassion and care they provided Joan in her later years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Joan on May 24, 2022, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St., Weymouth, MA 02190. A funeral service will follow at Saint Francis Xavier Church located at 234 Pleasant St., Weymouth, MA 02190 at 11:00am.
