Joseph DiCienzo, 89 years old, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 14, 2022. Joseph was born in Introdaqua, Italy. At the age of 15 he came to America with his mother. He was a very proud veteran of the Korean War. After returning from the war, he earned his GED and attended the Bentley School of Business. In 1957 he married the love of his life, Frances Paterno, and settled in Braintree where they raised their family. In 1971 Joe started his own accounting practice, Business Accounting Services of Weymouth, with his wife Frances, which has been succeeded by his son Joseph. He loved traveling, especially the trips to Italy, and their yearly visits to Saint Maarten. His most treasured times were spent with his children, and grandchildren. Joe was a member of the Weymouth Rotary Club, and the Braintree American Legion. In September of 2017 Joe was one of several Korean War Veterans from Weymouth who received "The Ambassador of Peace Medal" from the Consulate of South Korea, for his service in the Korean War.

Joseph was pre-deceased by his wife Frances, parents Nicola and Filomena DiCienzo, and his siblings, twin sister Mary at age 3, sisters Rosina and Vincenza, and his brother Felix. he is survived by his four children, daughter Mary-Joan (DiCienzo) Foley and her husband Mark, son Joseph N DiCienzo and his wife Denise, son John DiCienzo, and son Christopher DiCienzo and his wife Penny, along with 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Joseph at C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St., South Weymouth, MA. 02190 on Thursday May 19th, 4 to 7pm. A celebration of life will take place at the funeral home at 9am Friday May 20th before a funeral mass at 10:00am at St Francis Xavier Church, Pleasant St. South Weymouth, MA. 02190. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
