Maria Grace Suppa

Maria Grace Suppa of Weymouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 2, 2022, at the age of 97. Maria was born, raised, and educated in Palermiti Calabria Italy where she met her husband, Giuseppe. The two wed and traveled to the United States on the Andrea Doria, through Ellis Island in 1953.

Maria was a woman who had various hobbies and many talents. She loved working in her garden, making wine and playing a wide assortment of card games. She was a talented cook and would enjoy sharing her meals with anyone who came over. She was also a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish. Above all else Maria cared immensely for her family and cherished all the moments and memories she had with them.

Maria was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe Suppa and her daughter Maria Grace Bailey (Suppa). She was the loving mother of Joseph Suppa of Pembroke, Lisa Suppa Parker of Weymouth and Kathleen Suppa-Antonowicz and her husband Daniel of Weymouth. Maria also leaves behind her many cherished grandchildren, Michael Bailey, Christine Hadden, Sean Bailey, David Suppa, Stephen Suppa, Mark Suppa, Caitlyn Masterman, Joseph Parker, Laila Antonowicz, Kyra Antonowicz and great grandchildren, family, friends, and many relatives in Italy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Maria on Friday May 6, 2022, from 9-11AM in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home in Weymouth. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11AM. Maria’s Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth.
