Jane “Nan” Lindsey passed away peacefully in her home, with family by her side at the age of 85.
Jane was born on October 8, 1936 in Brookline Massachusetts to the late Philip and Daisy Tumey. Jane lived a life of service to others, quitting school at a young age to care for her parents. Jane then worked as a nurses aide in several nursing homes before retiring in her sixties to care for several of her grandchildren. Jane Spent her time completing word searches, watching her court and veterinarian shows, and volunteering at the local food pantry in Rockland and enjoying her family. She was as selfless as they come always putting herself last. Her strong spirit, love, and devotion to her family will be greatly missed.
She is survived by daughter Erin and husband Pete Flinn. Her four grandchildren, Felicia Lindsey, Kevin Johnson and wife Stephanie, Andrew Lindsey, and Michael Flinn and wife Kayla. Her eight great grandchildren-Ava , Brayden, Amaya, MacKenzie, Connor, Benjamin, Nora Jane and Bentley.
There will be a celebration of life on January 30th from 1-5pm at the Rockland Eagles hall; 29 park st, Rockland ma. All our welcome.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rockland food pantry at 12 church street, Rockland MA 02370.
