Helen Lutes

Helen Elizabeth Lutes (Clark), age 96, of Grear, SC passed away at home with loving family by her side on January 10, 2022. Helen was born, raised, and educated in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High in 1943. She settled in Weymouth where she proudly raised her five children and lived until 2020 when she moved to South Carolina with her family who loved the opportunity to care for her.

Helen is the loving mother to Thomas Reid of South Carolina, Katharine Desellier of Pembroke, Edmund Lutes of Holbrook, Cheryl Hogan and her husband Kenneth of South Carolina, and the late John Reid, her six grandchildren including Kevin who was a dedicated caretaker for Helen, and many great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Helen on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home for a Celebration of Life at 10am Saturday prior to the funeral service which will begin promptly at 11am in the Community Baptist Church located at 17 Mutton Lane, Weymouth, MA 02188.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Baptist Church of Weymouth, 17 Mutton Ln, Weymouth, MA 02189 to help spread the gospel that Helen believed in so much and/or Interim Hospice of the Upstate, 16 Hyland Rd, Greenville SC 29615 in appreciation of the wonderful care they provided in her final days.
