James Richmond

James R. Richmond, age 77, of Weymouth passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Jim was born and raised in Weymouth where he graduated Weymouth High in 1962 with his future wife, Marie.

Jim worked as a letter carrier in Hingham for over 25 years with the USPS then in maintenance with the Weymouth Schools for another 20 years. Jim and Marie were married in 1967 and they settled in Weymouth where they started a family and have lived since.

Jim loved nature and hiking, gardening, photography, and tinkering around the house. He was very proud of his yard and garden which he took such meticulous care of.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Marie Richmond (Puopolo) of Weymouth, his loving children Elaine Lund and her husband Darren of Rockland and Peter Richmond of Weymouth, his cherished grandchildren Elizabeth and Megan, and his siblings Bill Richmond, Pat Hoban, and Steve Richmond.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Jim on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 3-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A funeral mass will be held in honor of Jim’s life in the Immaculate Conception Church located at 1203 Commercial Street Weymouth, MA on Saturday at 11am.
