Susan Arvidson

Susan Arvidson (Shea) of Weymouth passed away suddenly on November 7, 2021, at the age of 69. Sue was raised and educated in Hyde Park before moving and graduating from the Brockton High School Class of 1969. Sue began working immediately after high school as a legal secretary. She married her beloved husband, Steve in 1980, moved to Weymouth and started a family. While raising her children Sue worked at home as a transcriptionist and once the family was old enough, she went back full time and resumed her duties as a proud CVR court reporter.

Sue was an amazing woman with many skills, talents, and hobbies. She enjoyed regular trips to the casino, cross stitching and building elaborate Lego creations. She looked forward to annual family events including trips to New Hampshire and Maine and the summer party for the entire family to get together. Above all else Sue was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sue was the loving wife of 41 years of Steven Arvidson of Weymouth. She was the cherished mother of Erin Bandini and her husband Jeff of Whitman and Chris Arvidson of Whitman. Sue was the grandmother of Bella, Caden, Elise and sister of Stephen Shea and Michael Shea. Sue also leaves behind many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Sue on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 3-7pm at the Weymouth Eagles located at 1338 Washington St Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sue’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
