Ruth Sheridan

Ruth L. Sheridan, age 87, of Weymouth passed away Wednesday,
September 29, 2021 at home. Ruth was raised and educated in Dorchester and
graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School for Girls in 1952. She worked in
human resources for Carter Rice/International Paper in Boston for over 20 years.
Ruth’s Catholic faith was very important to her and she was a long time
parishioner at St Francis Xavier Parish.

Ruth is the loving sister of Robert Clinkscale and his wife Mary of
Framingham, Kathleen Tomlinson of Weymouth, the late Howard Clinkscale, and
the late Edna Mullin. Ruth was lovingly known as Auntie Ruthie or Boofie by her
many nieces and nephews. Ruth was blessed with a large, loving network of
friends who always knew how to have a fun time. Ruth was a lifelong fan of all
New England sports teams. She enjoyed concerts at Nantasket Beach, singing,
dancing, the ocean, traveling, and all things Irish.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Ruth
on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 4-7 pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home
located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. Relatives and
friends will gather in the funeral home at 9am Wednesday, Oct 20, 2021 for a
celebration of life prior to the Funeral Mass in honor of Ruth which will take place
at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church, S. Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.StJude.org. Cremation will follow the Mass.
