Ruth Hetherington

Ruth Hetherington (Esam), age 100, of W. Yarmouth and formerly of Weymouth passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Ruth was born and raised in Revere prior to living in Braintree for a short time. She graduated Bryant and Stratton in 1940 and worked in the admissions department for Northeastern University for 23 years.

Ruth was a member of the Mayflower Chapter of the Eastern Star and the Neighborhood Garden Club of Hingham. She loved the years she had with her grandchildren.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur Hetherington and her son Dick Hetherington. She is survived by her loving son Don Hetherington of Florida, her grandchildren Cristin, Eric, Karen, and Ami, and her great-grandchildren Joshua, Riane, Galileo, and Cornelia.

Services for Ruth will be private and are in the care of C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located in Weymouth. Ruth will be interred at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Please visit www.CCShepherd.com for online condolences.
