Paula Hickey-Pozas

Paula Noel Hickey-Pozas, 63, a resident of Weymouth, formerly of Scituate and Hingham, passed away on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, MA. She was born December 26th, 1957 to Anne Pisani and Herbie Hickey in Hingham.

In 1988, Ms. Hickey-Pozas married Valente Pozas in Chicago, IL. She leaves their daughter, Veronica Pozas Woods, her husband Brian Woods formerly of Scituate, MA and their daughter Calliope Anne Woods, all of whom reside in St. John, USVI. Little Calliope lovingly referred to Paula as her “Nona”. Paula will also be missed by her 13-year old miniature poodle mix, Rudy, who brought her great joy and served as a loving companion through the years. Paula is survived by three brothers and their families; Kevin Hickey, his wife Nellie and their two children; Brian Hickey, his wife Sara and their son; Brendan Hickey, his wife Judith and their two daughters. She joins her late brother Christopher Hickey.

Paula was a graduate of Hingham High School Class of 1975. She lived her life as a master of her environment and enjoyed every moment. She touched the lives of everyone she knew and will be missed by all.

A public memorial service will be held Saturday, September 4th at 11am at the Old Ship Church in Downtown Hingham located at 90 Main Street, Hingham, MA 02043. Masks are required for the service. There will be a private interment where she will be laid to rest in the Old Ship Memorial Garden along with her mother, Anne, and her late brother, Christopher.
