Virginia Rodick (Horsch), age 89, of Hanover and formerly of Weymouth passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Ginnie was born and raised in Weymouth graduating Weymouth High School in 1949. She married her husband, Frank, in 1951 and shortly after settled in Weymouth where they cultivated so many fond memories raising their family together.
Ginnie worked for an allotted 20 years as an operator at New England Telephone ultimately retiring in 1994. She was an avid reader and did much travelling with her husband and friends to Jamaica, Greece, Germany, among other destinations. She also loved spending summer vacations on Martha Vineyard with her family. Virginia will be remembered for her class, elegance, and caring nature she had towards those she loved.
Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Rodick in 2002. She is the loving mother of Thomas Rodick of Hanover, John Rodick of Hanson, Robin Egan and her husband James of Hanover, James Rodick of Hanson, Timothy Rodick of Abington, and the late Julie and Robert. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her siblings Robert Horsch and Judy Baxter.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Virginia from 9-11am on Monday August 9, 2021 in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation at 11am. Cremation will follow.
