Patricia “Pat” Burns of Weymouth Passed away peacefully on May 26, 2021 at the age of 84. Pat was born, raised, and educated in Boston. She moved to W. Harwich and then to Weymouth where she remained the rest of her life. Pat worked as an administrative assistant for both the state of Massachusetts and for liberty mutual insurance. Pat retired when her daughter was born to stay home and raise her family.
Pat was a simple woman and could find joy in any little thing. She enjoyed watching the daily news and movies. She also took trips down the cape when she could. Most of all Pat loved being a mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished the time she spent with her grandkids. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Pat was predeceased by her loving husband David who she married in 1971. She was the beloved mother of Alicia Pierce and her husband James of Johnston RI and dedicated grandmother to Corey, Amanda, and Justin. Pat was the sister of Carol Phinney of Weymouth and the late Christopher Curtis.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Pat on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 9-11am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A Funeral mass will take place at 1130am at St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth following the visitation. Burial will be held at the Plain St. Cemetery in Braintree.
