Kathleen Muriel Reddin, age 97, of S. Weymouth passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Kathleen was born and raised in Somerville. Throughout her life she worked at White Tower Restaurant, Shawmut Bank, and a Wendy’s in NH to keep her busy in retirement.
Kathleen started a family in Charlestown then settled in Somerville to raise them. Once She got her driver’s license later in life, you never knew where Kathleen was going to end up. She also enjoyed travelling via bus all over the country.
Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Cecil E. Reddin and her sons Kenneth, Edward Robert, and Stephen Reddin. She is survived by William Reddin and his wife Linda of Brockton, John MacDonald of RI, and Karen Michalski and her husband Robert of Weymouth, her cherished 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Kathleen on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 9-11am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Mass in honor of Kathleen’s life will follow the visitation at 11:30am in the St Francis Xavier Church in S. Weymouth. Internment will immediately follow in Bourne National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Massachusetts Humane Society at www.MassHumane.org.
