John Moran

John Moran, age 78, of South Weymouth, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2021 with family by his side.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Jeanne (Dzengeleski) Moran. Devoted father of Cynthia Go and her husband Samuel of Kensington, CA, John Moran Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Weymouth, and Tricia Donovan and her husband Joe of Weymouth. Cherished Grampy of Megan Mahoney, Brendan Moran, Sophie Go, Maddie Laderoute, and Nicholas Go. John was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Mary (Conway) Moran, and his siblings, Thomas J. Moran and Mary “Patsy” Moran.

John was OFD and lived in South Weymouth for over 50 years. He graduated from Boston College High School and was a member of Local 805, International Longshoremen’s Association and Local 539. John enjoyed traveling with friends and taking family vacations. He was a proud Irishman, known for his outgoing personality and great sense of humor. He often said that he had been lucky in life. He will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 3-6pm at the C. C.
