Joyce Neelon

Joyce Marie Neelon (Gallagher), age 66, of Pembroke and formerly of Hull, passed away on January 13, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center Boston. Joyce was raised and educated in both Weymouth and Braintree, graduating from Braintree High in 1972.

Joyce married her husband of 38 years, Paul, in 1982. Joyce and Paul lived in Weymouth, Florida, Boston, Hull, and most recently Pembroke for the last thirteen years. She worked at both Bank of New England and State Street for many years before retiring in 1998. Joyce always was there to lend a helping hand and will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice. She was in a performing band for many years when she was younger. Many of her nieces and nephews are forever grateful for her tutoring skills and patience. Her kindness and quick wit will be sorely missed.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband Paul Neelon of Pembroke, her sisters Janis Spinella of Pembroke, Judi Gallagher of Hull and Justine Finn and her husband Ed of Hull, along with many adoring nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her brother Jack Gallagher.

Funeral arrangements for Joyce are in the care of C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located in Weymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Mass for Joyce on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church located at 234 Pleasant St. Weymouth, MA.
