Jodie Antonowicz of Weymouth passed away suddenly on November 29, 2020 at the age of 56. Jodie was born in Washington D.C. then almost immediately moved up to Weymouth with her family where she would spend the remainder of her life residing. Raised and educated in Weymouth, she graduated high school and entered a career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Disabilities Services where she stayed for 36 years. She also enjoyed a long-time career as a bartender at Hajjars, where she made many friends whom she loved very dearly.
Jodie was a kind woman with a big heart. She had a love of classic cars, including her own ’72 Plymouth Satellite, and all animals. Above all she loved her family including her two cats, Carrot and Cheeto and her dogs, Ruckus and Rocky.
Jodie is survived by her partner of 18 years Mark McAlpine of Weymouth and her former husband Steve Poreca Sr. She was the loving mother to Steve Poreca Jr. of Dorchester and sister, Victoria Antonowicz of Weymouth.
