Christine O'Keefe

Christine Frances O’Keefe (Wooster), age 93, passed away after a fulfilling life on October 11, 2019. Christine was born in Pittsburgh then attended nursing school in Boston. She worked as a surgical nurse at the VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain for over 30 years until retirement in 1981. Upon retirement Christine moved to Centerville where she enjoyed many years being active at Our Lady of Hope and Our Lady of Victory Churches.

Christine was predeceased by her husband David O’Keefe. She is the aunt of Christine White and her husband Tim of Pembroke, Matthew Turner and his wife Susan of Florida, Paul Turner and his wife Sharon of Pennsylvania, and several other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Christine on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 8:30-9:30am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. A Funeral Mass will be held in honor of Christine’s life at St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth, at 10am. Burial will immediately follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cranberry Hospice at 36 Cordage Park Cir, Plymouth, MA 02360.
