Francis Cavicchi, age 92, of Lecanto, FL and formerly of North Weymouth passed away on March 19, 2019. Francis was born, raised and educated in Quincy. During WWII he joined Merchant Marines and served in Sheepshead Bay, N.Y. He married his wife, Doris, in 1948 they settled in North Weymouth where they raised their family. After living in North Weymouth for 30 years, Francis and Doris moved to Florida. He was a truck driver for most of his life and used his knowledge of the roads to explore much of the United States especially the West. One of his favorite areas was Monument Valley. Francis also enjoyed horse racing and casinos. One of his favorite things to do was traveling to friends and relative's houses all over the map.

Francis was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris E. Cavicchi (Andreasen) and his son, Michael F. Cavicchi. He is survived by his loving children Janice M. Cavicchi-Tapp of San Antonio, TX, Charles W. Cavicchi and his wife Loreta A. of Lutz, FL, and Sandra E. Slahetka and her husband Christopher of Hudson, FL, his grandchildren Lauren Frame, Kara Reynolds, Marissa Cutts, Jenessa Stafford, Joshua Brown and Joshua Haley. Francis is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and his brother Gregory Cavicchi of Wollaston, Quincy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Francis on Saturday March 30, 2019 from 9-11AM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A funeral service in honor of Francis' life will immediately follow the visiting hours at 11AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
