Richard Wilbur

Richard Wilbur, age 81, of W. Wareham and formerly of Weymouth passed away at his home on March 1, 2019. Dick was born and raised in Brockton and lived in West Bridgewater with his late wife Mary (Connors) Wilbur, later he married his late wife Christine in 2001 and spent 15 years in Weymouth before they retired together to W. Wareham where they enjoyed the last two years. Dick worked as a Plexiglass Engineer for L. D. Plastics in Brockton for many years.
Dick was the loving husband of the late Marie Christine (Atkins) Wilbur. Dick is the father of Michael Wilbur and his wife Anne of Guilford, CT and Jill Pratt of W. Wareham. He is also survived by his grandchildren Justin Wilbur, Rebecca Soderberg, Amanda Rice and Christine Atwater, Anna Clark and Theresa D’Eon and ten great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his grandson, Paul Gates.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Dick on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather at the Funeral Home on Friday for a Celebration of Life in Honor of Richard at 11am. Burial will follow in the Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
